Wild Art Workshop

Create, Learn, Grow

Hi, I’m Claire…

founder of Wild Art Workshop.

I offer creative, nature-based art sessions designed especially for children and young people who find mainstream environments challenging.

All sessions are 1:1, low-demand and completely bespoke. They are led by the student - their interests and needs show us the way. By building a trusting, supportive relationship over time, we create the space for confidence, connection and emotional growth to naturally unfold.

With a background in teaching, counselling and art and specialist experience supporting neurodivergent children and teens - my mission is simple - helping young people feel seen, valued and supported.

Whether your child is anxious, autistic or simply needs a different pace, Wild Art Workshop offers a gentle and nurturing way to create, learn and grow.

The story behind the Workshop…

School stopped working for my daughters and we moved to a quiet spot, surrounded by nature, to work out what to do next.

I rediscovered my love of painting and noticed how it soothed my nervous system.

I studied healing - psychotherpy, hypnotherapy and heart-based healing practices

My daughters discovered what they love to do and found different ways to learn that worked for them.

We found a little outbuilding on the farm that felt like the perfect creative space.

So we filled it with nature inspired craft materials and Wild Art Workshop came to life.

Workshop sessions

Sessions are calm, creative, and fully child-led. Young people are free to choose what they do, with hundreds of accessible materials ready to explore — from clay and paint to wood and glue or weaving, and quiet pencil drawing. There’s no pressure to perform or produce. Some come to recharge, some to create, some to try something new.

I follow my student’s interests and offer gentle support, with learning unfolding naturally, as it arises. The atmosphere is low-demand and welcoming — soothing, rhythmic, and familiar — helping build a sense of comfort, self-confidence, and self-compassion over time.

No two sessions look the same — and that’s the point. Some young people build a project over weeks; others dip into different materials each time. Some prefer to talk while they work, while others settle quietly into their own rhythm.

I focus on building trust and a safe-feeling relationship at the young person’s pace, offering a calm, consistent presence. Being in a beautiful nature-filled setting and working with our hands can be grounding and regulating, and this quite naturally leads to quiet growth in confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing.

If you think this kind of space could support your child or young person, feel free to get it touch using the form below. I’m always happy to answer questions.
